Description
Who's responsible?
A more appropriate question is --- "What is responsible"?
First of all it's a World Wide situation.
No one or no group or party is responsible.
World wide Covid did a lot to mess up everything. Things like drought -- it's a spreading problem even in this country.
A local problem -- "Bird Flu" -- millions of birds were killed because of it.. Eggs went way up in price, chicken and turkey prices have gone up.
Drought in the west -- ranchers sold off cattle because no water or feed.
Vegetable growers out west lost crops due to drought.
All kinds of problems all over the country and world have been causes of inflation.
Transportation problems World Wide -- mainly related to Covid.
Transportation problems include shipping worldwide, backup in our shipping ports, labor shortage in shipyards plus shortage of truck drivers and shortage of space to store containers until they can be shipped to final destination.
All kinds of problems related to Covid.
NO one is responsible for that nor is any group.
There's NO quick answers or solutions.
Shortages of all kinds are related to many causes and are beyond control of any one group.
Shortages cause prices to rise.
Oil Companies overcharging for products, they limit production to increase price -- OIL Companies are responsible for high prices.
Oil Companies alone are responsible for high prices.
The previous administration was lucky to step into a strong growing economy. This administration inherited a real mess that was mainly due to the covid pandemic.
There's no "Quick fix".
Unfortunately getting the economy straightened out will take some time.
The IDEAL situation would be for Both parties to work together for a common goal but that's not the way it works in this country anymore.
It's a shame.
