Description

Since 2016, Project Giving Kids has been providing unique opportunities every fall for youth to Create the Change® in their communities. Special sessions for PGK youth/families are being held throughout Create the Change® Week 2022 taking place November 13-19. Join our partner Gaining Ground on November 16th to tour the farm and learn about their efforts to address local food insecurity. You will also create Thanksgiving cards to be included in Gaining Ground's free Thanksgiving food distribution. FAQsIs there a minimum age requirement? Mininum age for this activity is 5 and all participants under 14 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. PGK requires a waiver as a part of this registration process which must be signed off on by a parent or guardian for those under age 18. Gaining Ground also requires a facility waiver, which will be sent after registration and before the event. Do I need a ticket to enter the event and is there a limit on attendance? Yes. All participants need to have an individual ticket, AND SPACE IS LIMITED TO 20 (TWENTY) FOR THIS EVENT. Please only secure a ticket if you are 100% committed to coming. That said, we know that plans change, so if yours do, please cancel your ticket through Eventbrite (or email us at [email protected]) at least 3 days in advance, if possible, so we can give someone else the chance to get involved! Do I need to print my ticket(s) in advance? No. Simply have your auto-generated tickets ready on your phone at check-in. What are my parking options at the event? Gaining Ground is located at 341 Virginia Rd, Concord, MA 01742, and the parking entrance is marked by the green Gaining Ground sign. Walk down through the large farm gate to the volunteer pavilion opposite the barn, where your on-site coordinator will greet you. What can I bring to the event? Closed toed shoes and weather appropriate clothing are recommended for the tour of the farm. As we will move indoors for the art portion of this event, masks are optional. Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? If you have questions about registration for this event, please contact PGK at [email protected].
