The Real Story of Christmas is a FREE event and will be held on December 3rd - 4th and December 10th - 11th with twelve different showtimes to choose from.
The Real Story of Christmas is a lively, interactive event that has quickly become one of Acadiana’s most-anticipated holiday traditions for families from all around.
The story line is centered around Grace Doll, a misfit toy who feels discarded and broken. As Santa’s helpers try to cheer her up, Santa and Mrs. Claus tell a stage full of dancing and singing elves some of the best-loved stories of Christmas. From Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to The Night Before Christmas and even The “Cajun” Twelve Days of Christmas, these stories come alive in a way that has everyone laughing and singing along.
The climax of the show is when Santa and Mrs. Claus call for the REAL story of Christmas to be told and live camels and sheep are ushered in to bring their gifts and adoration to the baby Jesus. After the show, families are invited to have their pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus in front of a beautiful Christmas setting—free of charge!
Concessions, Café and merchandise sales will be open.
