The Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library, JCC Indy Arts, and Congregation Beth-El Zedeck invite you to celebrate Vonnegut’s 100th birthday with special guest Dara Horn followed by a dessert reception and book signing. Rabbis Dennis and Sandy Sasso host an interview with renowned author Dara Horn, moderated by Julia Whitehead, founder and CEO of The Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library. Vonnegut’s short story “Adam” inspired this dialogue that includes a discussion of Horn’s book People Love Dead Jews, 2021 winner of the National Jewish Book Award. We invite everyone, regardless of religion, to this important dialogue so we may listen and learn from one another.
Virtual tickets are available at pay what you want price. The link to the recorded event will be sent out on November 4th.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Discussion begins at 7 p.m. followed by book signing and reception at 8 p.m.
This program is supported by the Judaism and Civic Engagement Fund and Nonie and David Vonnegut-Gabovitch. Visit kvml.org to learn more about their 2022 programming and events.
