As the need for refugee resettlement has grown, San Antonio has taken the lead to become a welcoming ground, and ultimately home, for many refugees and immigrants seeking a new life in the US. San Antonio Welcome Walk & Festival is an event that was created to embrace these new faces in the community. This event will also be used as a platform to engage with other programs that support the immigrant community. Due to the success of 2021 event, leaders of San Antonio have asked Culturingua to make this an annual occurrence. The event is a platform to announce other initiatives and programs that support the immigrants and refugees in San Antonio.
