In sacred circle, on this special evening we will meet, taste, honor, and journey with herbal allies. Participants will learn the history and traditional western herbalism uses of each plant. They will come away with an understanding of how to incorporate the plants into their own practice. Each participant will also get to create their own tea or smokeable blend to take home and continue the magic with on their own. Taste teas of 4 different herbs, learning about their medicinal properties and uses Relax into a sacred sound bath journey into the plant kingdom Create your own tea blend to bring home and continue to work with! This is a chance to honor the turn of the season, the in-between magic of transition, and your own connection to the web of life. Kelly Matten is an urban Herbalist passionate about the connection of human to plant. She believes in re-connecting to the earth and listening to the intelligence of the growing world. Also - having a lot of fun! Kelly has lead workshops in Herbalism, ritual, restorative yoga, sound, and meditation throughout her career, and opened Awepothecary in Long Beach this year to serve the community.
