GAITHERSBURG, MD — Montgomery County's MLK Day of Service will now be a virtual, week-long event in January due to COVID-19. This year's event will run from Jan. 16 to 24 and offer a variety of home-based and socially distant volunteering opportunities to residents of all ages. Activities include creating toys for service dogs, making blankets for hospice patients, and donating books on diversity to students.
