Join Design Core on Thursday, November 10th at Woodward Throwbacks to celebrate the role of design in our community. We will be looking at the process of adaptive reuse in built environment. The former Garrity Dodge Dealership at 11500 Joseph Campau is the home to Woodward Throwbacks. A Detroit-based manufacturer of furniture and goods made from landfill-bound materials. Through artistic reimagination, they recycle salvaged and reclaimed materials into new furniture and decor statement pieces. Their design process gives new life to various materials, including wood, metals, plastics, and more. Attendees will be able to tour the building and learn about the company's manufacturing processes. Located at 11500 Jos. Campau, Hamtramck, MI 48212, lots of street parking available.
