Description
IF YOU WANT TO PARTAKE IN THE RITUAL AT 7PM PLEASE REGISTER HERE ON EVENTBRITE! Our space in the back room is limited and we want to gage how many people want to join on the ritual. Otherwise, if you want to come place a photo or offering on the altar in your own time, or just come in and shop/talk, you may come in whenever! Join us on Friday October 28th at Thirteen Circles for a Samhain Celebration! We will have extended hours that day and be open until 8pm! The shop will open at 12pm but the celebration starts at 5! Come in from 5-8PM to enjoy apple cider, candy, and more! Place offerings on the community altar to honor your lost loved ones and ancestors. Come share your favorite memory with us and keep their presence alive! We will do a small community circle ritual at 7pm. We will all discuss Samhain, light candles, remember our ancestors/loved ones, and recite a very short incantation. This is beginner witch/pagan friendly! This event is FREE and all are welcome (even the curious and non spiritual folk) we just ask that you are respectful of our space and beliefs. We recommend wearing black or feel free to come in costume! Skelly the 12ft skeleton will be out front for photo opportunities. Samhain (usually pronounced sah-win, sah-ween, or sow-in depending on where you’re from) takes place on October 31st every year and is considered to be the Witch’s New Year. It is a pagan religious festival originating from an ancient Celtic spiritual tradition, it is to celebrate the *darker half* of the year between the fall equinox and the winter solstice. You may have heard people saying *the veil is thinning* this is because it is widely believed in the spiritual community that the barriers between the physical world and the spirit world break down during Samhain, allowing more interaction between us and spirits, ancestors, and those on *the other side*. During this time we honor our ancestors and loved ones that are no longer with us! Thirteen Circles has a community altar space in the back room. We have this sacred space to share with ALL. You may come bring a photo copy of a photo or funeral card of a deceased loved one (people, pets, familiar spirits etc), or even just write their name on a piece of paper. You may bring offerings or items you know they would like (commonly things like candy, flowers, a figurine that represents them, a toy, etc).
