Company Overview Utica Washers, a division of MNP Corporation, is seeking a Press Operator to join its team in Detroit. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment and is reliable and quality minded. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, trustworthy and willing to learn all aspects of the manufacturing process. Utica Washers provides a safe environment with opportunities for growth and development. Their work schedule is 4 ten-hour days, Monday – Thursday; 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM; Friday as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Working directly with all members of the manufacturing team, set-up and operate stamping press lines while following all safety, quality and production standards. JOB FUNCTIONS: Daily assignments include, but not limited to: • Safely and effectively perform the set-up and change-over of all stamping press lines including coil reels, coil straighteners, coil feeders, and stamping presses while following set-up instructions. • Loading of coils onto coil reels using cranes and hoists. • Stamp parts following work instructions. • Effectively monitor operation of all equipment and part quality. • Accurately complete all in-process tags associated with part production. • Complete all manufacturing required paperwork and computer logs. • Train and assist other operators as needed. • All other duties as needed. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Strong Mechanical Aptitude with experience using hand and power tools • Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds • Ability to work while standing, bending, lifting, and from platforms.
