The Sweet Shop NYC The Sweet Shop NYC, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Shop Assistant, to help create sugary sweet happiness for its loyal customers. This gig is perfect for students, VETS, creative hard working types, sweet people with good people skills and non-corporate types. We currently have a full-time position for the following days: Friday. 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Saturday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Sunday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Wednesday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Your workday will be broken down into these areas of focus: PREP Get shop ready for customers. Assist by creating and prepping packaging, stocking, organizing, baking cookies, prepping pies and ice cream for our busiest part of the day which is the evening. KITCHEN / SHOP SERVICE During your day, you will be assisting in the completion of all orders. We generate orders both at the shop, and through our delivery partners, UBER, GRUBHUB, DOORDASH, SEAMLESS and POSTMATES. Accurately fulfilling these orders and assisting your peers to make sure everyone’s orders are accurate and 100% delicious. CLOSING Close shift down by assisting in cleaning the kitchen, washing dishes, sterilizing surfaces and utensils and preparing the shop to open the following day. We all work as a team so we can leave on time. Remember we will train you on all of these areas. We promise ! REQUIREMENTS ** Be able to hand scoop hard ice cream ** Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and climb stairs from basement. Strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills. Must be very energetic and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to work in a kid centric environment.
