It's been obvious for the last 50 + years that neither party is concerned enough about the border. IF they cared they would have pushed Congress to address the situation and come up with new laws and funding to control the border. Congress is the only body of Government that can make new laws and fund the situation. Nothing has been done is decades. Changes are way overdue. Neither party has done anything to address this problem. Both parties are responsible for the mess at the border. IF either party cared when they were in Power - they would have acted. Neither one has. If they cared they would have worked together to address the problem. They haven't.
