I am posting this to warn you of a scam that I almost fell for. If you post about searching for a dog or cat and receive a text message about a free dog from a number ending in 1684, this is a scammer! She’s also got another number that begins with 347 as well and both of these numbers are registered to someone else in NYC. Name won’t be mentioned. She tried to say that a 7 month old all black Dachshund was free, but then tried requesting money via Apple Pay for an Uber and tried charging me $90 for the dog after saying it’s free. Telling me she needs to get her daughter her medicine and get groceries and many other stories. Tried saying she’s a “Christian woman with kids” or a “Christian mom”. Don’t fall for it. There’s a scam going on involving Apple Cash and scammers making up stories and lies just ti request money just ti take it and then disappear, not to be heard from again. If anyone requests money via Apple Cash that you don’t know, please report the number immediately! Below is the pic of the dog she tried used to scam me with. No one will just give away this breed without a hefty fee like $1000 or more. For more info or further questions, you can reply and I’ll send you all the info I have and screenshots upon request.
