I'm a geezer drummer in Falmouth looking for other jazz players who are interested in getting together to play bop, post-bop, and American song book jazz tunes just for the love of doing it. I've got a few players (alto, guitar, bass) who have been getting together occasionally in the New Bedford-Marion area, some of whom could be available, but am hoping to connect with some others who are like minded-- which is to say serious about playing as well as we can and getting better, committed to creating a friendly mutually supportive vibe, and enthusiastic about the music of Miles, Monk, Rollins, Coltrane, Shorter, Jarrett, Evans, et. al. Winter's coming and it's time to move indoors and rediscover the fun in running through All Blues, On Green Dolphin Street, Bye Bye Blackbird, and Blue Bossa-- you get the picture.
