High level rock/hard rock guitarist looking for musicians, preferably a singer first, to form an original rock band. I sing but I do not want to be the main singer. My idea is to be able to harmonize a good bit of the time on the songs and occasionally sing leads. I am a guitar player first and foremost. I have many originals with lyrics ready to go, approximately enough for our 1st record. My sound, songs, and style are combination of all my influences. A few would be Dio, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Sabbath, Van Halen, Alice in Chains and early Metallica. My ideal singer is someone who has a lower register voice, like Lane Staley/Chris Cornell/Axl Rose, someone with balls in their voice. Again, this is my preference but if you have a Geoff Tate/Rob Halford type of voice, please bring it on and don't be shy. A great singer is a GREAT singer. My plan is to form, record and play out. My songs are very catchy and melodic and that took me a long time to master. Now I am able to write songs at will. The singer I am seeking will have to be on their game 100% and will need to be disciplined and talented enough to sing consistently for several years as I want to record several records. I want to stress that I am a guitarist and need a lyricist as well, but of course I will collaborate on lyrics if needed. My vision for world domination and success is approximately 5 years of hard work. By then we should have at least 2 records out and preferably touring. I prefer to play in e flat since I think it sounds better for rock music but I am flexible. Even though this ad is geared more towards a singer, I do need a whole band. Drummers and bassists please apply. No hired guns. This is going to be a full band with members invested from the beginning, where we all have a goal and work together to achieve the desired end. The following is a song from an EP done 4 years ago. This song will show you that i can play and write. If you really listen to the song, you will realize it has a classic rock sound, very pleasing to the ears. I am looking for a singer that can bring more balz to this song-more power-possibly rerecording it for our first album.
