THE ARENA CLUB currently has an opening for an Assistant Aquatics Supervisor. Job Summary Responsible for overseeing all aspects of aquatics department including but not limited to managing staff, daily operations, cleanliness, pool operations and maintenance while ensuring a safe environment. Supervise lifeguards and plan work schedules so that the pools always have adequate coverage. Provide and organize training to ensure all employees are aware of safety issues and issue rules to encourage safe swimming; also ensure that water quality meets state standards by conducting regular chemical tests and maintaining accurate records.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Will be responsible for all aspects of the Aquatics Department including to but not limited to:Ensure the safety and cleanliness of all pools and that employees always comply with health and safety requirements Supervise and monitor guards; rotation of guards on shift, professionalism on deck, customer service, opening & closing checklist, cover shifts when needed, monitor payroll and shifts accordingly, enforce policy and procedures to staff always, continuous training of guards to serve the members Attend any meetings and in-services required from managementTroubleshoot and resolves non-routine customer complaints before they become an issueResponds to all member concerns, requests or questions within 24 hoursAssist the manager in ordering supplies and keeping track of inventory work directly with all swim coaches, swim lesson instructors and head guards to ensure the highest quality of service within the aquatics department.Work directly with Lorthorian on all pool maintenanceJob Requirement: Pool Op and Lifeguarding Certification CPR, First Aid and AED certificationsEnthusiastic attitude and highly motivated and the desire to work as a team memberExcellent verbal, written skills and organizational skillsAbility to perform detail-oriented functions, work independently, and multi-taskExcellent customer service skillsCommitment to the success of membership salesA minimum of one-year experience in a supervisory roleHours/Days expected to work per week: 40 hours per weekMust have evening and weekend availability Compensation: Upon RequestBased on experience THE ARENA CLUB is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled
