"We now have more income and wealth inequality than at any time in the last hundred years. In the year 2022, three multi billionaires own more wealth than the bottom half of American society – 160 million Americans. Today, 45% of all new income goes to the top 1%, and CEOs of large corporations make a record-breaking 350 times what their workers earn." #10 Michael Bloomberg Net Worth: $70 B #9 Steve Ballmer Net Worth: $96.5 B #8 Warren Buffett Net Worth: $102 B #5 Larry Page Net Worth: $123 B #4 Bill Gates Net Worth: $134 B You have phones and computers don't you? #3 Mark Zuckerberg Net Worth: $134.5 B LOL, you use facebook, don't you. #2 Elon Musk Net Worth: $190.5 B Electric cars= good, right? #1 Jeff Bezos Net Worth: $201 B Ever use amazon? All democrats. "Meanwhile, as the very rich become much richer, working families continue to struggle. Unbelievably, despite huge increases in worker productivity, wages (accounting for real inflation) are lower today than they were almost 50 years ago. When I was a kid growing up, most families were able to be supported by one breadwinner. Now an overwhelming majority of households need two paychecks to survive." There has ALWAYS been people that struggle and there always will be. Worker productivity is actually way down even though the demand for $15 per hour have been far exceeded. The "overwhelming majority of households" way over spend and spend well beyond their means. That's their problem. "Today, half of our people live paycheck to paycheck and millions struggle on starvation wages. Despite a lifetime of work, half of older Americans have no savings and no idea how they will ever be able to retire with dignity, while 55% of seniors are trying to survive on an income of less than $25,000 a year." Most people live paycheck to paycheck do to their own bad life choices. Drugs, liquor, criminal activity, poor life choices, did poorly in school, unnecessary debt, failure to plan for retirement and save money. "Since 1975, there has been a massive redistribution of wealth in America that has gone in exactly the wrong direction. Over the past 47 years, according to the Rand Corporation, $50tn in wealth has been redistributed from the bottom 90% of American society to the top 1%, primarily because a growing percentage of corporate profits has been flowing into the stock portfolios of the wealthy and the powerful.” Instead of bitching about what other people have and you don't, why don't you become rich yourself like nearly all rich people have done. How many jobs do the poor create? Corporate profits are VERY good. If we did not have it we'd be like the typical african country, russia, cuba, china, etc of which I noticed you don't live in any of these countries. All these corporations are supported by YOU. Look around your yourself and see all the products you have because of these corporations. Plus, all these poor and middle class people have every dime of their pensions and retirement plans invested in ALL of these corporations. Maybe even you. I suggest you think more clearly and deeply before embarrassing yourself any further. And,yes, there is a 40 high in inflation due to biden/democrat policies and their scam pandemic.
