The real lie is we have power to change anything. Be a student of history. Look what is happening in Italy with the electing of a Mussolini style fascist. Humans never learn. As Madona adeptly put it, we love to lick the boot of a tyrant. Italy did it by placing a beautiful, youthful politician in power. Right now, the old, tired Baby Boomers still hold power in America. Sooner or later it will happen though. We will elect a stunning, young, charismatic leader that will enter like a lamb, with all the correct rhetoric to please both sides. Then he will reveal his true self. Whether he is extreme right or left will not matter. It will begin perilous times. I think perhaps the only truthful ones are the religious folk. It is time to get right with a Higher Power of your choice. One very old man's opinion only.
