Retired Naval Academy Mascot Passes At Age 14

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A retired Naval Academy mascot passed away, the school announced Thursday. The goat fell into poor health, so he was put down with his caretaker by his side. Bill 33 was 14-years-old. He is survived by Bill 34, who is also retired. Bill 36 and Bill 37, who are both still active mascots, also carry on his memory. Bill 33 and Bill 34 were donated to the college in 2007. They served as mascots until 2015, taking part in Navy football's longest-ever winning streak against Army. Bill 33, nicknamed "Blue Eyes," loved eating hay and treats during his retirement.
