Brittani Gray of HairKitchen will foster a series of empowering events inspired by the Netflix/OWN docuseries "The Hair Tales." A panel of experts will join Brittani at this inaugural event. "This will be a revelatory journey of connecting the personal tales of phenomenal Black women to broader societal and historical themes." We will address black hair in the workplace and how the Natural Hair Anti-Discrimination Act has impacted us. We will address themes from the docuseries, such as childhood trauma, hair in the workplace, hair in the media, and stereotypes surrounding black women's hair. This panel discussion will be the first of many opportunities to discuss the history of black women and our hair. Our panel is ready to engage and dissect this 6-part series in an open and safe environment! We can't wait for you to join us. Everyone is welcome.
