We are excited to bring to you another installment of our annual Ladies First Fundraiser, created to celebrate and honor survivors that have been directly or indirectly affected by breast cancer. This moving celebration is a powerful gathering of women and men that educate and encourage more conversation and advocacy around breast cancer. The goal of this fundraiser is to help AWCAA continue to provide free mammograms and resources for underprivileged and underinsured African immigrant women fighting breast cancer. We're raising $50,000 for our breast cancer awareness campaign this month and will announce our total donations at the end of the night. You can show your support and donate to our campaign by texting "LADIESFIRST" to 801801 to help us reach our goal. This year's event will take place on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 7 p.m. - 12 a.m. at the University of Maryland's Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center. The evening will feature: A Couture Hair Art Show that will give eight (8) survivors a dream makeover to walk the runwayKenyan Safari AcrobatsLadies First Marketplace, a vendor market of women-owned and survivor-owned businesses Doctors' PanelFull-Course Dinnerand introducing Ladies First Honors, an awards ceremony to commemorate AWCAA heroes, supporters and donors.It's guaranteed to be a special event. To date, AWCAA has helped over 40,000 women with access to life-changing health care and resources on their cancer journey. With your help, we can double our efforts and expand our mission globally.
