Join the Bessemer/Schafer Park Advisory Council and New Prospect MB Church for their 1st Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. Check-in: 9:00 am to 9:45 am. Opening prayer and guest speaker: 10:00-10:15 am Stretch before we walk: 10:15-10:30 am Short Loop Walk: 10:30 am. Participants will walk around Schafer Park only for one (1) hour Long Loop Walk: 10:30 am. Participants will walk around Schafer Park, North to Steelworkers Park, and back to Schafer Park (1 -hour duration) 11:30 am-12:00 pm: Dance celebration After the walk, stick around for a Harvest Fest from our next-door partner, Urban Growers Collective. In lieu of monetary donations, we're asking each participant to donate two or more of the following items. These items will be put into care packages for breast cancer patients at a local hospital or treatment facility.
