Description
MERIDEN, CT — Namdar Realty Group, which purchased the Meriden Mall in June, addressed concerns about the mall's number of vacancies, according to The Record-Journal. The owners said the mall is "in full operation" and that it will "remain open for the foreseeable future."
Namdar Realty Group said its goal is to bring in new tenants and support existing tenants with new opportunities.
Meriden Mayor Kevin Scarpati submitted a request to meet with the owners about the mall's future recently after seeing the number of vacancies, according to The Record-Journal.
In the last two years, the mall has lost anchors Sears and Macy's as well as smaller stores like Charlotte Russe, LOFT, and Game Stop.
Namdar Realty Group acquired the mall earlier this year when it was sold by Westfield.
