Dr. White, history professor at LSU Shreveport, is a board member of the Oakland Cemetery Preservation Society and co-author (with Dr. Gary Joiner) of the book Spirits of Pioneers and Heroes: Shreveport's Historic Oakland Cemetery. She tells some of the most epic and fascinating stories of Shreveport's past within the walls of this wonderful landmark site. The tour lasts approximately one hour - with a nice refreshment stop in the gazebo and a tour souvenir. Four dates available: Saturday, September 24, October 8, October 22. JUST ADDED: Saturday, November 5! Net proceeds from the tour benefit preservation efforts at the cemetery. Tour lasts approximately one hour.
