During the program, participants are introduced to and get familiar with the concept of Community Science (that anyone can be a scientist with some basic training in observation/photo taking skills). Participants will take a guided walk through the park site and be engaged in activities where they will learn how to observe and record what they see in nature (plants, bugs, animals). We also introduce them and provide a training on iNaturalist, an app that they can use to upload observations to help scientists with research on climate change. At the end of their visit they receive information about how to take their skills to the next level with iNaturalist and connect them to other community science programs in the park.
