Don't. We visited Salem and couldn't have been more disappointed. Good luck finding somewhere to relieve yourself. Ain't gonna happen. All the bars and restaurants have signs up: Restrooms for Customers ONLY! Or, No Public Restrooms. Forget about getting a beer or a sandwich. EVERY place has multi-hour waits. Want to do some witch crap shopping? Hahahaha, good luck. More long lines to buy a shirt or candle? I don't think so. Just want to walk around? Nope, not going to happen. Literally tens of thousands of people in the way. You can't get anywhere. Entertainment? NOPE! You are the entertainment. What a joke. I'm sure this is a nice city, but best to go in May-August when they can actually handle guests and you can actually see and do things.
