Vintage band seeks Singing bass player
Meets
Annandale VA
Description
Vintage bass player wanted. We are a collection of seasoned, music-loving, retired, international Bon Vivants and good old boys (and girl). We currently have a talented lady singer working with us. We want another talented singer to work with us because we enjoy three part harmonies and we'd like to be able to cover lots of different material and genres. We are Sybarites, not to be confused with Luddites! (extra points if you know what that means) We are focused on putting together a great band, hence we need a great guitarist and or bassist, someone hopefully with these qualities: A cool cat with flexible musical abilities. Lives close to Annandale. Has great taste in music. Does not have unrealistic expectations (Rock stardom done passed us by) Be in it for the music (we love to play!) Available to practice during the week (week days preferred) Spandex and big hair? (up to you but we reserve the right to laugh) An excellent sense of humor is most desirable. No a-holes - that's my job. If you are not able to interact with people that have differing political positions (regardless of whatever your political leanings are) don't contact me. If you are paralized with fear of Covid 19 don't contact me. Any mature guitarists out there? Men? Women? We need you, you need us, get a hold of me!Questions, give me questions!!! Do we want to do gigs? Of course AS LONG AS THE BAND DOESN'T SUCK!!! yes, we want to play out as soon as the act is dialed in... That incredible looking man with the bass is me. I play guitar as well... If you play bass better than me, you will be the bass player... understand??? Here are examples of the music we have all done in the past. I'm not saying this is our list, just saying we've done these tunes in the past: Little Sister (Elvis P) E Lay Down Sally (Clapton) A The One I Love (REM) Em I Saw Her Standing There (Beatles) D Blue Hotel (Chris Isaak) Am Mary Jane's Last Dance (Petty) Am Something C Sold me down the River D Jet Airliner A Under The Milky Way Tonight Am Ballad of John and Yoko E 20th Flight Rock A or G Story In Your Eyes Am Jenny Jenny F#m You Can't Do That E Jumpin' Jack Flash A Bang A Gong (T Rex) E One After 909....B Don't Dream...
