Guitar/Bass wanted for funk project

Hey all, we are a Keyboardist/Sax player and Drummer looking to start a funk band. We are interested in playing a wide variety of artists across several decades/eras (1960's-2000's), and diving in to similar genres like jazz, latin, and New Orleans style funk. For us it's about a love of music and discovering/sharing new material. Bring your ideas to the table! We have practice space in Birmingham and in Hazel Park, but we are not opposed to jamming elsewhere. The goal is to meet up weekly for rehearsals and when we all feel like we have it together, we start gigging out once a month or so. We are both in our mid 30's with careers and families, this project is a hobby band for fun and we welcome friendly musicians of all walks of life.
