WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — It's a startling statistic. Cancer is the second leading cause of death around the world, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, about 1 in 6 deaths is due to cancer.
It goes without saying, the earlier cancer is caught, the easier it can often be treated, which may lead to higher survival rates.
As a preventive measure, Atlantic Health System is offering free cancer screenings for people in Washington Township without insurance.
The next upcoming screening dates are below:
Jan. 6Jan. 13Jan. 27Feb. 10Feb. 24 Screening is available for cancers of the breast, cervix, prostate and colon/rectum.
