Come join our friendly onsite team at the beautiful Promesa Apartments as a porter/maintenance technician. This position is vital to our community as the porter is in charge of the day-to-day impression our existing residents and future residents have about the property. The perfect candidate will understand that they are responsible and take pride in the overall cleanliness of the property including grounds, swimming pools, buildings, amenities, parking lot, sidewalks and more. Duties include but are not limited to: * Walking property and picking up any trash or debris from grounds, bushes and parking lots * Remove trash from receptacles in the office and in all amenities * Clean swimming pools * Clean garbage compactor enclosures and transfers trash left outside dumpster area into compactor. * Maintain cleanliness of breezeways by removing bugs in lights, removing cobwebs and removing any stains on concrete * Clean mailroom areas and package locker area by removing debris, removing cobwebs, wiping down doors and sweeping * Removes mud when requested. * Uses blower to keep sidewalks, breezeways and walking areas clean * Changes light bulbs * Makes keys and changes locks * Assists with trash outs of vacant apartment homes * Keeps onsite maintenance shop in order * Power washes breezeways, exterior building, parking lot, and sidewalks * Stocks supplies in all bathrooms * Assists make-ready technician upon request * Distributes resident communication to residents upon request * Advises supervisor of any observable maintenance issues or liability issues on property * Other duties as assigned by maintenance supervisor or manager Skills/Abilities Required: Attention to detail Observant Ability to work outside in extreme temperatures Ability to walk up flights of stairs throughout the day Works as a team player Excellent communication skills Willingness to work/Takes pride in work Courteous and professional Benefits include: Affordable Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Life Insurance equal to one year's base compensation Short Term and Long-Term Disability Paid Time Off Paid Holidays 401k Match Background and Preemployment drug screening required How to apply: Submit resume or Applications may be filled out in person Monday-Friday 9am-4pm at the Promesa Apartments located at 9415 McNeil Drive, Austin, TX 78750
