I remember in 2000, when Al Gore won the popular vote, but the race was close and contested. It finally came down to one state, Florida. You remember "hanging chads?" In a hotly contested battle, it came down to the brother of the president who won to decide the election.
I remember in 2016, when Hillary won an impossible to lose election by nearly 5 million votes, but because the nation had been so gerrymandered by a Republican majority, the vote went to the underdog.
I say all that to only demonstrate I know how a close loss can be a bitter pill to swallow. I think the difference, was we accepted the loss, grit our teeth, and carried on. I am old and have never in life heard of or seen such a thing that exists in a tiny, very vocal subset of the Republican community. History sadly will judge them harshly.
They will not hear your truth, my friend. They have been lied to, and choose to ignore reason, even if it means ignoring compelling evidence, even if it comes from their own party.
"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie" 2 Thessalonians. 2:11
