Hello, I’m looking to rehome my purebred female blue heeler. She was born on 06.12.20. She is spayed and up to date on all her vaccines, deworming, and flea and tick medication. My schedule has gotten more demanding and it pains me to look for another owner but I just want the best life for her. So, I am posting this to just see if there is potentially someone out there that can provide her a better life. I would like her to be in a house rather than an apartment so that she is most comfortable. You must be knowledgeable about this breed if you are serious to keep her. Heelers are known to be extremely smart and since they are bred to herd they are known to be reactive. I’ve been training her since we got her at 10 months old and she has made tremendous progress but she still has moments on walks where she will get scared and get reactive. Previous experience or knowledge on how to handle reactivity in dogs will be very helpful. Heelers do best with one owner and are very loyal. She’s very sweet and cuddly to the people she knows she can trust and she loves to play with other dogs. She grew up in a household with other dogs, a cat, and a toddler. I haven’t put her around kids since then, so I cannot confidently say she will do well with a family that has kids. She's 35 lbs and tricolored (white, black, and brown).
