ATHENA Akron, Inc. will honor the 2022 ATHENA Leadership Award Recipients and Finalist Honorees at a dinner and awards program on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. The event recognizes exemplary women leaders for their professional achievement, community involvement, and for actively assisting women in reaching their full leadership potential. This year's Leadership Award recipients will join more than 80 local women leaders who have been honored as Recipients or Finalists of this important award.Join us as we honor Dr. Angela Neal-Barnett, Professor, Department of Psychological Sciences, Kent State University, with the 2022 ATHENA Leadership Award. Finalist Honorees include Barbara Feld, Director of Development-Summit County, Apollo's Fire and Executive Director Emeritus, Tuesday Musical Association; Rochelle Sibbio, President & CEO, Habitat for Humanity of Summit County; and The Honorable Nicole Walker, Akron Municipal Court Judge. The recipient to be honored with the 2022 ATHENA Young Professional Award is Moriah Cheatham Williams, Attorney, Roetzel & Andress. Award Finalist Honorees include Anne Kichurchak, Community Outreach Director and Co-Founder, Hope Meadows Foundation; and Michelle Togliatti, Executive Director and Co-Founder, Hope Meadows Foundation.Also being honored this year with the ATHENA Organizational Award is Girls On the Run Northeast Ohio.Registration and networking begins at 5:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 5:45 p.m. The evening’s program will be led by Sylvia Trundle, Retired Captain, Akron Police Department, and 2017 ATHENA Leadership Award Recipient. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Para Jones, President, Stark State College.
