Other

111 Dogwood Road,Annapolis MD 21403

12 November, 2022

Description

Volunteers will learn how to test the soil, identify nutrients that may need replenishing after this past growing season, weed, and tend to the raised beds in preparation for winter. The winterization of the school’s garden is the kick-off of Schools enBloom! where community stakeholders (i.e., students, teachers, and the community) co-create school food gardens. These living “garden classrooms” solve real-world, farm-to-market challenges using STE(A)M, alternative wellness, and public health approaches. Bring gloves and garden tools if you have them, or borrow ours. This activity is open to all ages and abilities.
