JREP will provide grants to support a field of both emerging and experienced culturally specific organizations and culturally responsive providers that serve 10 Oregon counties, including Jackson and Klamath. The program will prioritize organizations serving communities that share high incarceration rates in respectful and relevant ways to their beliefs, practices, cultures, and linguistic needs. Programs focused on violence reduction, including violence interruption mentors or after-school programs for youth, re-entry programs connected to education and workforce development, transitional supports, and services for victims, including incarcerated victims or victims on pretrial release, will be eligible to apply.
