You are invited to join AIACC for our November Chapter Meeting at the Alamo Drafthouse. Marsha Godeaux with the TDLR will present "Understanding and Applying Texas Accessibility Standards". Presentation Description: The 2012 TAS appears to mirror the federal Accessibility Guidelines but in many ways it is different. This course will start by defining the difference between an alteration project versus facility maintenance. Then you will dive deeper by discussing a few sections of the 2012 TAS and their application in the state of Texas and how they differ from the federal requirements. You will also learn about any changes that may be coming to the Texas Accessibility Standards and TDLR Elimination of Architectural Barriers Program. You will earn 2 LU/HSW. Dinner included.
