The November FSU Broadwell College of Business and Economics “My Story” speaker Kwame Molden, CEO & Co-Founder of Springbreak (SPGBK) Watches. He is going to discuss his entrepreneurial path and the expansion of the company into major retailers.
SPGBK is a designer watch company, based out of North Carolina, which provides an amazing variety of impactful, unique, and colorful watches. It draws strength and inspiration from the founders’ community and culture, their beautiful childhood experiences growing up in Fayetteville, and their strong passion for education. Each watch and watch band in our collection is symbolic and named in honor of a school or community located in their hometown.
Launched by childhood friends that attended the same pre-school, middle school, high school, and even the same historically Black college, the founders knew they wanted their company to have a scholastic theme, centered around education. Spring Break was always a refreshing reset before the end of the school year, and they wanted to capture that essence in the name. Also considering their positive experiences while in school, the founders make sure to tie their hometown/HBCU roots into SPGBK watches either by name or design.
