Kiva is an international nonprofit crowdfunding platform that believes in character over credit and the power of community-based lending. Through crowdfunding, they’re able to provide funding opportunities for entrepreneurs where conventional lenders won’t. Through Kiva, you can receive a loan of up to $15,000 with 0% interest. Our guests will be: Shelby Blacksmith owner of Gibson's Cat Cafe Gibson's Cat Cafe is a coffee shop that has cats in it, and they are all available for adoption through a local shelter. Gibson's Cat cafe is on a mission to provide a therapeutic environment for people while also mitigating high numbers in shelters and lowering euthanasia rates. Nadia Eslinger representing The Aidan Eslinger Company. The Aidan Eslinger Company is a parent company that oversees three separate entities; Aidan Eslinger Productions, Arthur's Town Publishing, and AEComunity. Aidan Eslinger Productions (AEP) is a production company that specializes in original content such as live plays, short films, and web series. AEP provides freelance services to content creators, musical artists, and local businesses. Arthur's Town Publishing provides a resource for first-time authors to be guided through the process of writing and self-publishing books. In just one year, Aidan has already helped several authors through the self-publishing process. AEcommunity is a non-profit organization that takes a percentage of all proceeds from its affiliated companies in order to give back to the community in many different ways, mostly education.
