November 10, 2022Register for either the 8AM-4PM or 9AM-5PM tour. Check in at the UF/IFAS Extension Manatee County Office (1303 17th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221) 30 mins before the start of your tour. $65 per person (plus Eventbrite fee), refunds not available.Come join us in celebrating the 31st year of Manatee County's Farm City Week by visiting a few of Manatee County's finest agricultural operations! This is a fun-filled, day-long tour. $65 (plus Eventbrite fee) per person includes transportation, lunch, and entry into all hosting sites. The hosting sites are not open to the public and you will not have access to these locations beyond the tour day. Reservations and advance payment are required. The tentative stops along the tour include: a living shoreline presentation at the Green Bridge, Ellenton Nursery Growers, Lake Manatee (lunch stop), Fiorelli's Winery, and a livestock location. Specific site details and timing will be provided on November 10. Optimize your experience: Wear boots or tennis shoes and clothing for variable temperatures. Note these are working farms; you may experience wet, uneven and rough terrain. Some items to consider: wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and rain jacket. Water will be provided or you can bring your own reusable bottles. Please Note: Tours will sell out.
