scammed and stranded with my children

I am just arriving in town from North carolina for a job in my field of carpentry. My housing to sublease was a scam and I have my 16 year old and 2 year old with me. I'm needing housing for a night or two. Anyway to make money to get me home would be a blessing. I lost my wallet at the gas station panicked. If there are any good ppl left in this world- please help me. God bless you
