SKOKIE, IL — Police asked the public for help finding a teenage girl who went missing from her home in Skokie over the weekend. Juliana Vargas, 16, was last seen leaving her home on Park Avenue near Howard Street around 11 p.m. on Sunday, according to police. Her last known location was in the area of Pratt Boulevard and Sheridan Road in Chicago. Vargas was described as 5 feet, 5 inches, 145 pounds and Asian, police said. She has brown eyes and dark brown hair, the bottom half of which has faded red coloring. Skokie police said Vargas may be wearing white Nikes, a gray Nike sweatshirt or a black hoodie with an image of Tupac. She may also be carrying a gray backpack like the one pictured below. Juliana Vargas has not been seen or heard from since she left her home in Skokie around 11 p.m. on Jan. 3, police said.
