If this sounds like a good fit for you... We are looking to hire multiple Facility Center Technician positions. Facility Center Technician qualifications: Safety mindset Reliable Willing to learn and ask questions Positive mindset Great communication Facility Center Technician responsibilities include: Operating: - Scraper System Operator – operating a stationary scraper system. This requires you to raise and lower the machine with a handheld controller as well as communicate with other team members. Certain conditions require operating a long lever arm to break-up ice. - Plow Truck Operator- operating a ¾ ton pick-up truck with a V-blade. You will follow tractor trailers through the Scraper System to clear the ground for the next trailer to go through the system. Clean-up and snow stacking is required throughout our work area at the facility. - Yeti Operator- communicating with truck drivers to get lined up with the machine. Verify the machine is in the correct position and turn the machine on. - Documentation Platform Technician - verifying the conditions of the trailers after they go through the Scraper and Yeti systems. To document, you will utilize the Nektyd app to log trailer numbers and after pictures of each trailer serviced. An additional responsibility is to communicate with drivers to advise they are either clear and can leave the facility or they need to go back through one of the systems. Technicians work within a 3-4 person team. Team members rotate between positions throughout the shift (Scraper, Yeti and Documentation operators) Plow truck position requires a valid driver's license and experience/training operating a plow truck. We have a facilities in Marcy, NY and Johnstown, NY. A typical shift is 7-8 hours. Shorter and longer shifts may be available/required. Marcy, NY operating hours are 15 hours per day, for a duration of 3-4 days after a snow event. Johnstown, NY operating hours are 24 hours per day, for a duration of 3-7 days after a snow event. Facility Center Technician pay starts at $20.00/hr (Scraper, Yeti and Documentation positions - rotation). If qualified to operate a snow plow as well as the other 3 positions, pay will increase to $22.50. In certain circumstances we pay for lodging & provide stipends for food/expenditures.
