Mark Soskin was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. And has resided on the Upper West Side of NYC since 1981. Soskin has recorded and performed with such diverse musicians as Sonny Rollins, Bob Cranshaw, Joe Henderson, Randy Brecker, Billy Cobham, Gregory Hines,Buster Williams, Eddie Henderson, Stanley Turrentine, Cornell Dupree, Herbie Mann,George Russell, Steve Smith, Bill Summers, John Abercrombie, Claudio Roditi, Sheila Jordan, Gato Barbieri, Joe Locke, David"Fathead"Newman, Mark Murphy, Slide Hampton, Roseanna Vitro, Pete and Sheila Escovedo (Sheila E.), Bobby Watson, Miroslav Vitous, The NY Voices, Harvey S. and others.
