Description

Unfortunately I am looking for a new home for my two ferrets, Moss and Mulch. I took them in not too long ago from a neglect situation, but due to a change in job and life circumstances I no longer have enough time to give them the proper love and care they deserve nor the funds to provide them with the extensive vet care they need. When I took them in they had almost no fur and were extremely skinny. One of them also has cataracts and I suspect the other may have adrenal disease or insulinoma as well as an old break at the end of his tail that healed poorly but I haven’t had the chance to get them fully checked out by a vet yet. I wasn’t told their age but I suspect it’s probably around 4-6, so they are elderly as well. I’ve done my best to get them healthy again, they’re fur is nearly all back and they’ve gained weight, but they definitely aren’t completely healthy yet. I’ve been feeding them a mix of pellet food, frozen kitten food, meat, and occasional live mice to help them gain weight and get back their energy. They’re the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet and have never even so much as nibbled on my fingers. They’re super social and love exploring outside their cage, but they lose energy fairly quickly and sleep for a lot of the day and night. They get along well with my cats as well and enjoy playing with them. I’m asking a rehoming fee to ensure a good home that can take care of their needs as they continue to get older and provide routine vet checks. I just got them a brand new Midwest double ferret nation cage less than a month ago which they will come with, as well as a water bottle, mounted food dish, litter box, any food I have left, some hammocks, and anything else I have for them. Please message me if you have any questions or would like more in-depth information on them.
