Description
Hey,
I want to form some sort of instrumental electronic-progressive-jazz group and I’m looking for players. I don’t have a firm genre idea, but I’m also not looking to play standards/covers. Here are some artists that come to mind for what I’m trying to get at genre-wise:
Jaga Jazzist
Błoto
Portico Quartet
Ebi Soda
Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah
The Budos Band
The Mars Volta
Makaya McCraven
Szun Waves
I primarily play bass, but I also play guitar. I don’t have an ensemble configuration in mind, but I ‘d like to find instrumentalists for the following:
Guitar or Bass
Woodwinds (Sax, Bass Clarinet)
Trumpt
Keys
Drums
Ideally, you’d be able to read music to some degree or be able to hear things out, you can improvise a bit, you’re comfortable playing in odd meters occasionally, and you know a bit of theory. I’m not looking for virtuosos by any stretch, just some folks that want to make music and are willing to put a little bit of time into it. I work a standard 9 to 5, so I’m not looking to tour, but I would like to write, record, and play some local/regional shows.
If any of this sounds interesting to you, then let me know.
