Hi! As many of you know, the wheel that keeps my family spinning and our brightest light is living with aggressive Parkinson’s disease.In addition to being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2017 where it has only gotten more aggressive and difficult, she was most recently diagnosed with Lewy Body and we had to move her into a memory care home due to mental state, inability to be safe walking, and high needs of support to live. My mom is my everything. She is giving, hilarious, kind and so big hearted. I have had to study and understand her diagnoses over the years as I grieve and weave to understand how to support and love on her through her diagnosis. She is my person. She is my sisters person. She’s my dads love of 45 years. She is our rock. Every part of me that I love, minus the inability to eat cheese, comes from her. She’s unparalleled. All ticket money will be given directly to the Parkinson’s Foundation. I am so grateful for this organization and how it has helped me and my family. I hope more research can be done. I hope my mom can see how loved she is- like Cardi B style loved- and I hope you can ride with me at BurnCycle, my home where I’ve been healing and growing as a human and woman in Portland. This studio has brought me joy and love for 8 years. I am so grateful to Jessi and the community and Burn Army. I feel home whenever I’m here.
