Description
Watts Hall Community Arts is thrilled to welcome Scott Moreau - Maine native and nationally renowned Johnny Cash tribute artist - to Thomaston for two nights only! Moreau has starred as Johnny Cash in the Broadway smash hit Million Dollar Quartet in the National Tour, at Harrah’s Las Vegas, and throughout the United States for the past 10 years. His show "Walkin' The Line" is filled with anecdotes, stories and history pulled from Johnny's many biographies, concerts and live interviews. Featuring all of Cash’s biggest hits, like Folsom Prison Blues, Ring of Fire, Boy Named Sue, and Walk the Line, accompanied by a live 4-piece country band comprised of local musicians! You will truly feel as though you are watching The Man In Black in his heyday. *** WHAT THE CRITICS HAVE SAID "He unleashes a voice that possesses not just Cash’s deep, rumbling, sepulchral timbre but also an astonishing power. This guy seems like he could knock down a brick wall just by singing at it." - Dan Aucoin, Boston Globe "Scott Moreau steps into Cash's boots for this one and they are the perfect fit. No stranger to the stylings or the swagger or the distinctive bass baritone, Moreau has discovered a way to evoke the essence of the American icon without performing an all-out impersonation. He nails the dual personality described in Johnny's own words: 'Johnny is the nice one. Cash causes all the trouble.'" - Bill Hirschman, Florida Theater On Stage "Moreau's bass fits the iconic sound of Cash perfectly. On many of his songs, the audience could be heard cheering him on in silent awe.” - Trevor Warden, Broadway World *** FAQs Q: How long is the show? Is there an intermission?
