AEDF is hosting a Food Summit for businesses, residents, and other food-related organizations to recommend actions to strengthen the local food and beverage (F&B) ecosystem. We plan to discuss the following themes: Day 1 (Monday, November 7, 0900-1200)* Theme A: How might we help small businesses and entrepreneurs grow and be sustainable?Theme B: What should a shared food space/facility in Algiers offer to local businesses?Day 2 (Tuesday, November 8 morning, 0900-1200)* Theme A: How might we increase access to affordable healthy food in Algiers?Theme B: How might we attract more customers to eat out in and buy from Algiers?Drawing on insights gathered from interviews and surveys, participants will work together to brainstorm, prioritize, and propose recommendations for programming that AEDF can work to develop as well as policies that we can advocate for. *Note that Theme A and Theme B run concurrently each day, therefore please register for one theme per day.
