NAACP Branch 3071 invites to join us on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 6:30 pm, held at the Event Center at Mill Race for an evening of great food, music and fun.
Founded in 1909 in response to the ongoing violence against Black people around the country, the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) is the largest and most pre-eminent civil rights organization in the nation.
For more than a century the NAACP has worked to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
This year we will celebrate under the theme Not One Step Back. Our guest speaker is Myra Selby, partner and practicing with Ice Miller . She has the distinction of being both the first woman and African American to serves as an associate justice of the Indiana Supreme Court.
