The Bright Promises 2022 Awards will feature a cocktail reception with open bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres, private access to the museum galleries, opportunities to interact with local Chicago youth leaders, and an inspiring speaking program.
The 2022 Awards will be an in-person and livestream event hosted on Tuesday, October 25 .
The in-person celebration will take place at National Museum of Mexican Art (1852 W 19th St, Chicago, IL 60608) from 6:00p-9:00p.The livestream event will take place from 7:15p-8:30p (link provided after registration)During the 2022 Awards, Bright Promises will honor the following inspirational changemakers:
Andrea Palmer, Program Director, Pritzker Children's Initiative (2022 Champion for Children Award)Cathy Krieger, founder and recently retired Executive Director, Children's Place Association(2022 Lifetime Achievement Award)Devon VanHouten-Maldonado, Director of Programs, SkyART (2022 Elevating Youth Voices Award)Note: For the health and safety of all those in attendance, the in-person event will be capped at 175 people. Individuals participating in the in-person celebration must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
The National Museum of Mexican Art is located in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood just south and west of Chicago’s downtown. The venue is easily accessible by car and public transportation.
Visitor parking is available in the Ray Castro Parking Lot and Plaza, located on the east side of the Museum. The lot is open daily from 8:00 am – 11:00 pm at a rate of $2 per hour. Free street parking is also available.
